Sabers and Socks

We're expecting a snowstorm tomorrow, so Daddy went out this morning to place snow stakes along the street (so the snowplows won't accidentally tear up our lawn).

Some of our barefoot children went out to help . . .

. . . and pretend the snow stakes were light sabers (because apparently that's what our kids do with anything long and skinny around here).

Meanwhile, I went to a nearby alpaca farm and bought some warm, cozy socks to replace the wool socks I wore out last winter.

These are quite possibly the warmest, softest, most comfortable socks I've ever owned.  Thank you, alpacas!

Bring on the snow.  We're ready!
