I wrote most of this short poem my first year of college, then I tweaked it a little bit this autumn.  For some reason, I felt like posting it on our family blog, along with some pictures I've taken lately.  Thanks for humoring me. :)
The sun cast pale and slanting rays
In a year grown sudden old.
The autumn leaves were set ablaze
 Then crumbled with the cold.
