Big Projects

We're nearing the end of the school year,
and the kids are working on some end-of-year projects.

Anna is preparing her poster for the middle school's Country Expo,
and she has been learning a lot about Switzerland lately.
Did you know that there is now "Swiss" language, per se?
Anna says Switzerland stole borrowed languages from four of its neighbors.

Daniel, Anna, and Todd recently performed in the spring recital for their teacher's piano students.
Anna played a lively tune called "Arabeske,"
Todd played the first movement of Kuhlau's "Sonatina,"
and Daniel played an atonal piece called "Cat and Mouse"
(don't worry--the mouse gets away at the end).

Joy has a bazillion projects.
OK, only three or four, but it FEELS like a bazillion.
One of them is a illumination assignment for her Latin class.
I suggested that, given the late hour and the number of other things she needs to do,
maybe she should just turn it in as is tomorrow.
However, Joy insists that EVERY SINGLE FLOWER must be colored.
I'm sure it will look great when she's finished.
I just hope she'll have enough energy left to do everything else.
