The Exploding Bag

When we were finalizing our homeschool plans last month, Joy volunteered to teach science.

She started having second thoughts as she prepared for her first lesson today . . .

. . . but she did a great job.  Her lesson on energy was informative . . .

. . . and included some fun demonstrations.  For example, she helped the kids mix baking soda and vinegar in a Ziploc bag to release chemical energy.

The kids dubbed it "The Exploding Bag."

When I asked the younger kids to rate Joy as a science instructor, she passed her teacher evaluation with flying colors.

Then, since there's no homework in homeschool, the science teacher spent the afternoon playing Sleeping Queens with one of her students.
