Plant Appreciation

Good news: The California Poison Control System informs us that African violets are completely non-toxic.
Nevertheless, we're moving the remnants of this particular specimen far from Baby's crib. Duh, Mama.

That is so scary! I am glad that she is alright. Keep that number handy, it probably won't be the last time you have to call PC again. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us!

they are sneaky ... you have to be on guard all the tiime. aidan puts everything is his mouth ... the grossest so far was a slug (it must have stuck to someone's shoe and he found it, can we say 'gross'?)

Caitlin...we actually didn't call the poison control center...I found the info on their website.

An interesting fact: the California Poison Control Center has a list of the plants that cause the most frequent calls from people. #1 on that list? Unknown plants. People call because they don't know what a plant is and worry that it's poisonous.
