Before Joy, our first child, was born, we decided that since she'd be the first grandchild on both sides of the family, we'd better figure out some way that we could keep our families up to date with news and pictures that wouldn't require us sending out weekly emails (because we knew that emails would get sent with lower frequency than we wanted).
Thus, seeing some of our friends using blogs in fun ways, we decided that a family blog would be the way to go, and it has been a whole lot of fun!
