Different Pumpkin Strokes

We spent part of our home evening last night at the local pumpkin patch. I quickly found a pumpkin that said it was mine and asked me to take it home. Who am I to argue with such a well-mannered squash?

Unfortunately, my husband doesn't speak Squash. Since he is an engineer rather than a linguist, his approach to pumpkin selection is to search the entire patch for the most symmetrical gourd. Meanwhile, I took charge of finding a Joy-sized pumpkin, since Baby was busy helping Daddy.

We may have different styles of pumpkin picking, but the important thing is that everyone came home happy. :)

I love her sweet little curious face looking over her daddy's shoulder! That backpack is awesome. We totally need one. Where did you get it?

Ours is on loan from a neighbor, but you can find lots of them on ebay for decent prices. Go to http://baby.ebay.com/, then click on "Baby Backpacks" in the baby section.

We'll definitely be investing in one of these next time around. It makes grocery shopping much easier, and it allows us to carry Joy places that a stroller couldn't go.

THat's cute. We are going next month. They have a free hayride, petting zoo, pony rides, apple picking, and bounces in November.
