Last summer, a friend introduced me to an online game called Wordle.
Each day, you can try to guess one five-letter word
in six tries or less.
Each guess has to be an actual, five-letter word.
If you guess a letter that's in the target word but in the wrong spot,
it will turn yellow.
If the letter is in the target word AND it's in the right spot,
it will turn green.
Sometimes I play with near saintly intuition.
Sometimes I barely squeeze through the grate
before I run out of tries.
But regardless of whether I waltz through the day's puzzle . . .
. . . or I'm tempted to snarl at it,
I love giving my word nerd brain
a fun bit of exercise each day.
