Chaos on the Slopes

There's a ton of fresh powder on the ground . . .

. . . and Anna's ready to go sledding!

Todd, not so much.  He says his boots are too small.

Oh, well--tennis shoes will work.

The kids made sledding look so fun that I took a few trips down the hill too.

Halfway through our outing, Joy and Anna took a break from sledding to make snow angels.  They look so comfortable, I almost forget they're lying on a fluffy layer of frozen water.

Snow angels complete, the girls decided to have one more race down the hill.  By some means I don't entirely understand, Anna's tube ended up behind her . . .

. . . and then sailed over her head.  Sledding is always an interesting study in chaos theory.

Well, time to head to Gourmet Donuts . . .

. . . and then take a Christmas puzzle and a treat to the sister missionaries!  Daniel is hanging back a bit because he forgot to bring a mask, but he still joined us in singing a few carols.  The missionaries are getting a little stir crazy in their apartment lately, so they welcomed the variety of our unpolished little concert and our friendly Christmas wishes. :)
