Ping Pong and Hopscotch

It's been a fun holiday weekend.

Some of us squared off at ping pong.

Others preferred more relaxing activities.

Papa and Daniel brought me flowers, . . .

. . . and we wrapped up with a friendly game of hopscotch.

Here's Daddy hopping along with his little teammate. Picking your marker up while holding a toddler and balancing on one foot is no easy task, but Phillip and Daniel still nearly won. Maybe next time.

Dude...Grandpa always falls asleep these days.

Funny how when we're really young we get tired and nap all the time, in middle age we wish we could sleep more, and in our twilight years we come full circle and get tired and nap all the time.

Kim--here are some belated birthday wishes. I hope your "Ju-ly 9TH!" was spectacular.

Ed's grandmother has that same birthday. I believe she turned ninety this year.

I miss you. I sent some loving thoughts your way when I was in California last month, but my stay was just slightly longer than 24 hours and encompassed a wedding. Sadly, no time to rendezvous with dear friends. Maybe next time.

It would have been fun to see you, Cathy. Hope all's well with you out east.
