Phillip's Uncle Mark invited us to come out to Ontario for a big family dinner today.
It was a full house, with Cousins Nicole, Jodi, and Scott and their families also there for good company and good food (aka tasty ribs, a stupendous salad, and cheesecake for dessert).
If you ask Joy, though, the highlight of the evening was when Cousin Scott introduced her to Dora the Dog.

Are they members? We have never met them before. I love Joy's outfit.
Okay! I loved Joy's hat!! Where did you get that?
Serena, they are members. In fact, Uncle Mark has been a bishop. You probably don't know them because they're Hendrickson relatives (Mark is Phillip's dad's brother), not Durhams.
Jaime, I'm pretty sure Joy's hat came from Gymboree on Lake Avenue. It might have been The Children's Place a few doors down, though.
What a coincidence. Kira and I were hanging out with them the day before at the Redlands Temple.
It definitely was a fun time. I'm so glad that you three chose to come and spend time with our part of the family.
Family is so important to me. But, I know all the branches are not as close as we could be. That's one of the reasons that I love that we are blogging buddies. We get to peek into each others lives, and learn about each other, and see the silliness and sweetness.
And it makes me happy to see Phillip with a wonderful woman, and how much you both adore Joy.
Nicole, I agree - I love how blogging helps us keep up with each other's lives, and know friends and family better.
huzzah! what a fun time. boy was that a full house. sunday dinners usually are just mom, dad, my family and sometimes scott's.
i know everyone was happy to see you guys. hopefully it can happen again sometime soon.
