It's been ridiculously hot in So Cal lately, so Baby and I decided to cool off in the pool this afternoon.
Joy is definitely getting the hang of that splashing thing.
In other news, I finally managed to get a picture of one of the local parrots. I had to zoom in quite a bit, because it flew off before I could get a closer shot.
Looks like you have a water baby on your hands! Also- we have a flock of parrots that come around a few times a month. When we first were looking at our house they flew overhead and the thought of all these parrots was novel and charming. Now they are just extremely loud. I wonder if it is the same flock? However Pasadena to Fullerton makes for a large amount of territory.
Brian grew up in Palos Verdes and they had a flock of parrots that would come around too. Makes me wonder how far parrots fly or how many flocks of parrots are out there.
Joy looks adorable splashing around in the pool.
We've been feeling the heat here too. The we make plans to have our friends come over and swim yesterday. It turned out to be overcast and then we saw lightning so we cut the swimming short. =)
I miss you, too, Beth. I'm excited that you're out in Boston, but it's also a teensy bit sad that you're so far away. Sigh, indeed.
As for the parrots, I had no idea they had such an extensive range. I never saw them in Chino Hills, so just assumed they were a Pasadena phenomenon. At first they were novel for us, then loud and obnoxious, and now I guess I'm so used to them that they're back to being charming. Of course, that may change abruptly the first time one puts a deposit on our car . . .

About our blog
Before Joy, our first child, was born, we decided that since she'd be the first grandchild on both sides of the family, we'd better figure out some way that we could keep our families up to date with news and pictures. Thus, our family blog was born, and we've found it's a lot of fun to record our family's milestones and day-to-day silliness. Enjoy!

Kim, I just suddenly realized how much I missed your Kim-like self.
Siiiiiigh.
However, that pool looks delightful. Hope you enjoyed it thoroughly-ish. :)
