The chickens have begun their slow and steady journey . . .
. . . crisscrossing our yard, one tractor-length at a time.
We move them to the next patch of lawn once a day
so they have fresh weeds and bugs to eat,
and don't tear up the grass too much.
It's common to see our chickies chilling under their coop . . .
. . . or hanging out with their neighbor: a young cottontail
who likes to nibble the greenery near their tractor.
I've named it Baby Bunny (highly original, I know),
and it's always a treat to our little furry friend
when I head out to check on the chickens.
