Oh Deer!

It's fun to see lots of wildlife on our property,

but I've been grateful that we've never seen any deer,

which are notorious for devouring veggie gardens and decorative plants.

Alas! A few weeks ago

I spotted a deer strolling along the back edge of our lawn.

I hoped it was just a one-time thing . . .

. . . but then a few days later 

I noticed a fawn following its mom across our backyard . . .

. . . and a couple of their friends traipsing across our street.

With so many garden-munching creatures scampering around our neighborhood,

maybe we should ditch the raised bed idea altogether

and build a greenhouse.

Oh deer!
