Our family headed up to my parents' cabin for Fourth of July weekend this year.

There was bunting . . .

. . . and hunting. Rob and Joy never did manage to catch a blue jay, but apparently they enjoyed the suspense of trying.

Daniel enjoyed reading with Aunt Heather . . .

. . . and Joy discovered that she likes playing Chinese checkers.

And, of course, we had a lot of fun on the lake - until the fireworks started. Joy decided they were WAY too loud for her liking, and she didn't mind letting everyone know it. We're bringing her some earplugs next time.
