. . . Daniel Phillip Hendrickson! I love his name, but after months of calling him Hezekiah, Little Guy, etc., sometimes I have a hard time remembering to use his official title. :)
Here's a picture of Mama and Daniel. He's got dark hair like his big sister, though not quite as much of it as she did on arrival.
Here's Joy meeting Daniel for the first time. She posed nicely for this photo op for about two seconds, then told Daddy to put the baby "away" so he could take her for a walk. Oh well, she's got eternity to learn to love her little brother (though we hope it won't take quite that long).
It's finally time to go home! Now the real fun (and sleep deprivation and endless laundry and major life adjustment) begins!Welcome to the family, Daniel!

Be prepared--our second child taught our first how to be noisy. The noise and tumult increase exponentially.
And Kim? Know that your recovery is important and that your whole family will enjoy life more if you ask for help so you can rest. You are already good enough just being Kim--don't try and do any Wonder Woman imitations.

ReplyDeleteI love the name Daniel. I have never regretted naming our Daniel that name. He has lived up to his Bible name, I think.
One thing funny about his name is that we always called him Daniel so that he didn't get stuck with Danny when he was older. Then when he was in high school he went by Dan. All his friends know him as Dan. If I call him Daniel they don't know who I am talking about. You just can't win as parents some times!
I hope you are all doing well. I can't wait to meet Daniel in person. He looks like a charmer.
