We've been meaning to visit the LA Arboretum for some time, so when we realized admission is free the third Tuesday of each month we decided today was the day.
The plants were interesting (including these carnivorous flowers--don't be alarmed, unless you're a bug) . . .
. . . but the highlight for me was the parks big flock of peacocks . . .
. . . and peahens, of course.
Here's one of the peafowl mooning my precious child. The nerve.

About our blog
Before Joy, our first child, was born, we decided that since she'd be the first grandchild on both sides of the family, we'd better figure out some way that we could keep our families up to date with news and pictures. Thus, our family blog was born, and we've found it's a lot of fun to record our family's milestones and day-to-day silliness. Enjoy!

They are beautiful birds.
I have always been fascinated by carnivorous plants. One day I think I'll try to grow some.

Great picture with Joy and the peacock with it's feathers open.
