That dragon took me about three hours to carve. It made for a stunning jack-o-lantern, but it will probably be another decade or two before I can bring myself to carve something that complicated again.

About our blog
Before Joy, our first child, was born, we decided that since she'd be the first grandchild on both sides of the family, we'd better figure out some way that we could keep our families up to date with news and pictures. Thus, our family blog was born, and we've found it's a lot of fun to record our family's milestones and day-to-day silliness. Enjoy!

Bwahahaha! THAT is so blasted cool.
Christopher would love to make that.
I totally thought that you were going to say that Philip carved it. It is really cool, though!
That is awesome! I love creative geeks...and I'll never get over Star Wars.
Hey - I heard your little family is coming to munch with us all on Sun! Wonderful! See you!
What a great picture! Painstakingly difficult - but you should give it a try next year! :) I did love your pumpkins this year though...
I think your pumpkins are better! I love the one that looks like Joy!
I seem to recall a certain year you carved a dragon pumpkin. Any chance of a repeat performance in years to come?
